100 to 300 yd Club BR using the

WSSM or WSM as a base, are there any possibilites or recommendations. I cal to do both score and Agg or maybe a switch bbl? I'm leaning toward a 30 cal.
Any advice would be appreciated.

I have a friend

Who made a rifle using the WSSM cases shortened up some and he could not make it shoot competatively. Brass is an issue I think. There are any number of smaller cases to work with that will give you the performance you are expecting and perfectly usable for hunting if one chose to use them for that.
 
I would stay away from a WSM or WSSM. A BR case or a 308 case will do most anything the above will with a lot less agravation. I had a WSSM and will never go back!!!!!
 
Just a simple question

If you are planning on 100 - 300 BR shooting, why even consider a mag of anything?

You don't need it for such short distances.
