08 vs. 09 N133

Good question as i also have wondered about the different lots of N133. I have about 10 pounds of 08 and it is working just fine for me. The funny thing is that i overheard some fellas at the last shoot i attended saying that the 08 lot was a bit disappointing for them. Lee

We all have our favorite Lot number of 133. I have shot '08, did quite well at our first Region Region Match. I have now switched back to '03, just out of habit more than any thing else.
The main difference between different year lots of 133 is the density. They all shoot amazingly within the tolerances of burn rate when used by weight. As an example, the '03 and '08 shoot darned near the same at 30.4 grns, but it is easier to get that charge into the case with '08, because it is denser.
What this means is when switching from one year lot number to the next, you can't load by volume. Set the measure by weght, and you will be surprised how close most lots of 133 are with each other..........jackie
