    Simple- Purchase,have installed,have adjusted a Bix-n-Andy Competition trigger group. Place the Basix(JUNK) on an anvil & accelerate a 4Lb sledge hammer upon the trigger group to take it out of circulation.

    OP, WHY would you need to un-rivet the side plates? IF,upon disassembly a burr is witnessed on the inside of either side plate-stone the burr away. Push the trigger lever pivot pin out of the housing from Rt to Lt. Disassemble a M.Walker 700 trigger group, a Shilen is a copy.

    OP, The next allen head cap or set screw that you have issues with- shock it prior to attempting to loosen it. A pin punch is inserted into the hex drive...& not a press fit...& tap the punch...loosens easily. If the hex drive is buggered up..take a larger than hex size punch to displace...

    Though not manufactured currently, an RWHart handle once a radius was blended out w/ a #6 needle file is/was a perfect fit for a Remington. ( I bought all RWHart had in inventory) I never assume any handle will TIME correctly. Any TIG welder w/ experience(s) & not wasting argon should be capable.

    Any Remington 2 lug bolt is TIMED into Battery & NOT for Primary Extraction. So, depending on handle vintage any Remington is .080" to .160" OUT of Primary Extraction TIMING. Moving/repositioning the handle forward/closer to the rear receiver ring, is only ONE part of the FIVE part equation...

    Ben H, I have a dozen PT&G .378" .699" diameter OEM Rem extractor/ejector configuration bolt bodies on location. The original bolt w/ a simple clearance measurement would be required to duplicate a drop in replacement.
