R.G The rifle is not bedded in the action area yet......I am going to shoot it with the screws tightened first but I agree with you a bed job is most likely needed....After deer season I will sit down and bed it when things slow down some....Thanks

I guess I was not clear, My meaning was that the rifle was somewhat loose and it has since been tightened up correctly but have not tested to see if it changed anything yet...Got to sit down and make more ammo first!

Have a very nice 788 Remington in 22-250 with a Nikon 6-24 scope.....Rifle is acting weird, At the bench first 2 shots nearly touch and the third is always thrown 1 1-2 down and right..... does this sound like something is shifting or a barrel issue?

Sako Well I finally got out to shoot a little with this rifle and I'm getting 3/4 to one inch groups...I think with some tweaking I may be able to bring it a little closer.....Had to adjust the trigger into something that was usable and she responded well...

Have a beautiful 591 I was shooting today and noticed that it seem to be shifting every couple of shots about 2 inches at 100.. Copper I would like to know about the temp these powders burn at compared to their contemporaries.

Powder Thanks for the replies and info...I have so much powder now I will never need to ever buy again..I will expire before the powder does...To me it was a curiosity as to how they were getting the effect.

Does anyone have any idea how these new powders achieve removing copper fouling out of the bore.....Is it burning it out with extra nitro in the mix or what?

788 The gun is in like new condition, I bought it more for sentimental reasons and will ocasionally shoot it and maybe take a yote or two.. But I agree I will keep it loaded down....Thank you

Load I have some of that loaded up and if weather and time permits I will let some fly tomorrow.....

Load Got plenty of that also, One of the good things about the previous political climate is I have a surplus of about everything..The bad part is I have no reason to ever go to the gun shop to get supplies at least at my age.. I will never get it shot up in my lifetime..
