I screwed up and forgot to change the tool angle from 25 deg back to 29.5 deg before I cut the threads. The action fits up tight in the same way but I am curious about the strength of this connection. Does anyone have any data or a resource showing some metric on this difference in contact area...
I bought an old school 40X br gun in 222 and have had a lot of fun shooting it. Finally able to shoot in 1's for first time in my life but the thing really fouls quickly. A good cleaning and borescoping reveals the Hart rot about mid bbl across a couple of the 6 grooves. I will continue to shoot...
Wolfram disulfide
I started coating when Merril Martin introduced it to the schuetzen game back in early 80's. He and Johnson sold a kit that I won at one of the fests in Golden. Merril was also into heat treating lead bullets which was contagious to me too. I use the Neco method without wax...
Thanks to all,
It is interesting that the same powders that work well in a 308 are good in the deuce. Looking forward to shooting this gun...I also got a bunch of Rem 52g BR bullets. I am betting the R 7 1/2 will also work well.
cheers,
Lige
I acquired a 'classic' Hart benchrest rifle and am curious about the old load for this round. I tried to search/FAQ but didn't find anything.
thanks in advance,

I can call them next week but thought I would ask here first. My 3Lug Long bolt handle is getting loose. Not sure how it is attached? If you know how to tighten this thing let me know.
thanks in advance,
Lige
I am considering a 32" 30cal 1-10 Lilja HV bbl. He has limited groove offerings for the long bbls. Either 3 or 6 grooves. Does anyone have any experiences they could share with Lilja 3 or 6 groover bbls in 30 cal.
thanks in advance,

Leupold Competition 35X......COST ME POINTS at the FCNats last week. Shooting F/TR 308 with 175g BTLR's. On the 12th shot of first match (calm) I was clean with 5X's. 13th shot was 8 at 12:00. 14th shot was 7 at 11:00. I held bottom of black and got a 9 for last shot. No clicking involved but...
Hart #4 action
I finally got in touch with Wally Hart. He said he made that action for his dad. Wally said that the action body is threaded and the sleeve is screwed to it and holds the recoil lug in place. Now, if I can just find a stock for the #4.

Hart sleeve
The sleeve covers the bbl ahead of the recoil lug. I will contact Hart and find out what I can and post here. If any of you have an original stock for this vintage BR rifle please get back to me. I am looking to restore this one...btw, mine has 308 and 222 bolts. What fun!

I acquired an old heavy 1.75" SN#3xx Hart action with the 6" sleeve ahead of the recoil lug. I didn't want to force things without asking if someone knew how the sleeve was attached....will it simply just unscrew? Thanks in advance.

I have need for a trigger guard just like the BR model McMillan no longer carries :( (no hole in front of guard) . My BAT action with the Anschutz trigger does not utilize the rear action screw and the front pillar is slightly ahead of the standard hole location of the Rem guard. If you know of...
R37
Yes, rebed it with Devcon. This rifle is inherently accurate and was used by the best of the smallbore shooters...pre-Anschutz days. I have two, a full Kenyon with McM bbl and the one attached that I built. Keep it shooting.
