Hi Al, I have the same rifle as you and haven't dug into as much but I have had a problem also. Mine has been showing high pressure signs, and a blown primer. The brass was new and I was on the bottom end of the reloading scale and still had problems. I was using 20 & 25gr bullets. Have checked...

Joe you are right the 6x47 is the same bolt face as a 223. The 6x47 is the 222 Rem mag opened up to 6mm. The 6x47 Lapua is a different case all together. 308 bolt face

Twist for the 6x47 you would prob use a 14 or 12. Are you matches 300 yards and under ? If they are you don't need the faster twist and heavy bullets. If you are talking 400 yard and longer the 6BR and a fast twist would be the way to go. Jeff

Hi Joe, You must use 222 rem mag brass to make a 6x47. If you use 223 brass you will have a 6x45. I haven't found 222 rem mag brass to hard to find. I am not 100% sure but you prob could use 204 brass to get to a 6x47. I took my xp-100 pistol to the range today for the first time. Its in 6x47...
