    IR 50/50 2024 schedule

Sunday’s three target winners got all the Sunday bling. Albeit the exception being Don.

More bling? Haha Overall got the ONLY bling. I can say for a fact the meter winner did not even get a congratulatory handshake.

    IR 50/50 2024 schedule

Not a six gun discussion. The discussion is about the unlimited indoor nationals and the final results showing a tie. And the wrong person as listed as winning. How to break the tie in the six target match.

    IR 50/50 2024 schedule

Not relevant. Not a three gun match. The posted results should not need to be subject to debate. Don had more X’s and his first miss was on 8 vs Gary.

    IR 50/50 2024 schedule

I will not shoot the Triple Crown this year. For one reason and one reason only. It is non-negotiable.

    Jeff Patterson's J-PAT SPEC Rifles

I was standing there when you made the counter offer. Seemed fair to me. When IR starts the new class the rifles you have will dominate. You’ll get bored.

George I am still not happy about that. The video of seeing the miss is on repeat. My only other miss (Saturday yards) needed to be plugged. Bottom line it was an enjoyable time.

The World's Most accurate Rimfire Rifle!!!!

It is pretty much a given if Mike attends a match, and brings out his good ammo, he will be in the hunt. No. Ifs. Ands. Or buts. There are couple others who also come to mind.

    Closing cam

Tight tolerances and many hours of hand finish work. Impressive. But does that lead to better performance? I ask because I do not know.

    Testing ammo at test centers.

Lapua’s Marango test site is NOT closing. Albeit no testing can occur until Luke is replaced. Bet Capstone interviews a few people next week.

    Rimfire chambers

Tony you might or might not remember but when I started shooting I was asking just about everyone about chambering. You included. It was a secretive world. Dexter Bumgardner was very helpful. And use his technique to date. One thing he advised was a carbide reamer. He also advised a plastic...

Tony, I have watched you shoot X-Act very well. What is the engraving depth you use?

    IR 50/50 275 Type Scoring

Tony as you well know the bi-pod posse shoots the 275 format. Makes sense to me. As you pointed out shooting 249 24x and losing to a 250 8x seems inherently wrong. On the other hand shooting a 249 15x and losing to a 247 19x also seems inherently wrong. Both formats have pluses and minuses...

    Jeff Patterson's J-PAT SPEC Rifles

It was bit of a surprise Robert was not in attendance at the recent IR50/50 indoor nationals. If for no other reason than to show off his new shooting stick. Robert usually attends.

    Ammo

The heat was left off. Sunday morning would have been the only day heat would have been needed. But everyone was appropriately attired for the conditions. Help the scoring? Don’t know. For sure the no heat did not hurt the scores. IMO.
