    World Rimfire Championship 2024 (WBSF)

Jerry, you are right, Etienne shot with a 2500X by GAC. There is no gear list, thought. If you happen to came this side of the pond let us know so we could provide some comps scheduled around that time. Next TC could happily see 3 of us.

    World Rimfire Championship 2024 (WBSF)

Sorry for the late update, but after the Gala Dinner, was the trip back home... And this 5th WBSF Worlds Championships came to an end. Didn't recover my previous 2 points lost, but as I never gave up, on the last card, the no mercy gusty winds, made me jump from 6th to 3rd place overall...

    World Rimfire Championship 2024 (WBSF)

Today started the Individual competition. At the end of 1st day the results are as follow (pictures) I did 2 mistakes in the last day's card, and... dropped 2... Portugal with 3 shooters on the 10 first. Tomorrow will be the 2nd day and all will be decided.

    World Rimfire Championship 2024 (WBSF)

2nd and last day of Team competition. Conditions were much worse with wind gusts around 45Km/h. We managed to stay ahead, and, in fact, shooting in the wind shows all about BR rimfire shooting. So, at the end we (Luís Pereira, Ricardo Serápio and myself) took the 1st place, becoming WBSF Team...

The Bill Calfee I knew (part2)

Thank you Tony, for sharing these memories with us. I may know nothing but I believe Bill and you have made one of the best rimfire developing couples in the history. I still have with me Tack Driver, even if a new barrel has been fitted. Still is one of my best rifles, and it has BC and TKH on...

    Project Rifle

I know what you mean, taking time... I think it's one of the most demanding aspects of a new rifle. I have learned, like with wine (don't smile), rifles do mature and peak. Understanding when they start to enter that curve is key. Components and master building aside, picking the right ammo is...

How did I get there (my story)

And 2023 came to an end... It was so intense, I practice so much, I shot around 40.000 rounds (well spread among my rifles), that the undesirable happened... I burnout myself, physically and mentally. Knowing what I had to do, I stopped for 6 long months, and gladly I did such a long break...

How did I get there (my story)

As usual a bit rewind...;) I have to confess that during the hard preparation times I dreamed about being successful at Plzen. I couldn't help, even if I know that these kinds of thoughts put unnecessary stress on ourself. But "I had a dream"! Plzen range is within a huge sports area, where...

    Pointers For New Sporter Shooter?

    Always free recoil.

    Back in the old days!

To all shooters, please study this phrase... that's the development spinal cord.

How did I get there (my story)

Let's rewind a bit... When you target a major competition, you should be able to know what to practice and how to mentally adapt to the new challenge. You should not overthink and rationalize that a Worlds is the end of the line, or insurmountable in terms of preparation, being gear or shooter...

    Pointers For New Sporter Shooter?

Shooting a sporter requires a much refined BR shooting technique. This is needed, because sporter rifles are much lighter, have a smaller front stock support, and a lower power scope. Aiming with a sporter is also a bit different, again, because the scope has less power, so reticules have even a...

How did I get there (my story)

I think I have the needed recoil (time after) to continue to tell how I did get there (my story). I have had, thanks to many kind shooters, positive feedback about what I have written. Thank you! In fact, as I said before, sharing is the key to progress. But, please remind, that's my approach...

    Front joystick rest options

There are a lot of good joystick front rests, but just a few excellent ones. Like cars, all will drive you along to your destiny, but just a few will excel in comfort and confidence. I have used quite a few ones, but from the last 6 years, and will continue to be, I just rely on one brand...
