    Tuckerized Leupolds

Did Cecil Tucker ever do his modification on the variable power Leupolds or just the fixed models?

    Question About NightForce Optics

I have 2 of the older NXC 8-32s that I use for informal bipod competitions and on a groundhog rifle. I've looked at the newer ones like the ATACR but they are too big and busy for my liking.

    Remington XBR scope turrets

I recently picked up a Rmingotn XBR 20x scope, the scope is in great shape, serial number 516, has the Rem/Walker made rings and I plan on using it on a rifle. I've read a lot on the history of these scopes, have wanted one for a while and look forward to using it. One question I did have...

    Unertl question

I had wondered what that was for but never saw any information on it, thank you for posting it, that's a pretty neat feature.

    Unertl question

Thanks for all the replies, I was able to get the topscrew off the ring, took some grinding of a blade to get a good fit and some tapping but it came loose. Took a piece of an old shotgun magazine tube spring to pop the plunger out. As pointed it out it was full of dried oil/grease, cleaned it...

    Unertl question

Ok, thanks, I'll grind a blade to fit that slot. I compared both of my Unertls last night, this new one does have significantly more rotational play than the original one I've owned which has none, I'm wondering what the fix could be if the maintenance doesn't correct the problem, new scope...

    Unertl question

I have a question on an Unertl I'm setting up on a Win52, this is only the second Unertl I've messes with so my experience is limited. The front ring, there is a rail on the top of the scope that mates with a grove in the ring to keep the scope rotation-ally aligned, what happens if that fit...

    Spencer VA Hog rifle article

I'm trying to find some information on this particular rifle; https://www.accurateshooter.com/guns-of-week/gunweek017/ I seem to remember an article in Precision Shooting magazine written by the man who had the rifle built. I've gone through my old stacks of the magazine but can't seem to find...

Kelbly Actions What not to do to improve accuracy

I'm trying to learn here and sorry if this is a remedial question but how would one go about determining the length of fall for a firing pin?

    Pumpkin turner mandrel

Any idea when this new fella may be up and running making the Pumpkin again? I have one of the turners myself but need a couple mandrel sets, 7mm and .22 cal specifically.

    6.6x55, why not?

Bob Rosen ran a 6.5x55 GWI in a light gun for a while and I think he did quite well with it, said it was the easiest round to tune that he ever messed with. Unfortunately I had a heavy hunting rifle built in one and could get it to shoot in a bucket so your mileage may vary.

Acrylic tube for a drop tube source

Thanks Dale, I went ahead and ordered the 1/8" ID ones off Amazon, seems that the smaller diameter works best for me and the 1/8" ID 3/8" OD was closest to what I was looking for, going to make a stand for it and see how it does.

Acrylic tube for a drop tube source

Thanks, I'll check the Amazon listing out and give Steve a call, the ones on his website aren't very long. I have a 10" that I use now, was for a Culver/Lyman measure, I turned down the metal attachment on the end to fit into a funnel then kinda angle chamfered the other naked acrylic end on...

Acrylic tube for a drop tube source

I've been poking around on the Internet for the past day or so trying to find a source for some tubing to make a drop tube. I have one that came from Sinclair a while back with an OD of 1/2" and ID of 1/8", I'd like to find something close to that but the the best I've seen so far is 3/8" OD and...

    Borescopes

Also as an update, the older model I had borrowed would not fit inside a 20 cal barrel with the 90 deg attachment but the new one I just purchased fits inside a 20 cal just fine, which is really nice considering I have a couple 20s.

    Borescopes

Received the Hawkeye in today, has the green eyepiece where the one I had borrowed has a black eyepiece. Have to say the one I received with the green eyepiece is much clearer than the one I borrowed in the past so I have to say I'm more than happy with mine. Thanks for the help.

    Borescopes

Thanks guys, sounds like the Hawkeyes are still the best option (short of medical grade equipment) for a borescope. Recon the order for one will go in shortly.

    Borescopes

Been wanting a borescope for a few years now, had borrowed a friends Hawkeye a couple of times and really liked it, thinking of purchasing one in the near future and was wondering if they (Hawkeyes) are still pretty much the king? I've seen the Lyman, and while nice I'd rather spend the money on...
