    Ceramic works fine or grind if you have that availability and you don't need to use the crappy free machining steels which are to soft for any real use....

    Just buy a gage pin and press into a holder, hardened so they don't gall and sized to what you want... if you want you can even buy carbide...

    Al, Using the numbers you provided I get 14.2 @ 1116 f.p.s. (mach1) You didn't include nose length so I ran from a 7- 10 tangent ogive. twist rate stayed the same through out ...g7 b.c. .530

    Hello Joe, On Bills core cutter he did the wood work I did the mechanics. it cut two per revolution, if my memory is right it was gear reduced to 90 r.p.m or 180 cores per minute. Should have seen the first time we turned it on, it shot them across the room like a machine gun. He's yelling...

    Randy, when I looked at your 10 ogive I thought the same thing for a .925. so I moved radius forward .060 which worked out perfect for .925's I think from memory it gave a .330 straight shank....
