Secrets of the houston warehouse bullet jump question

I'd like to stay with the Houston Warehouse but change the emphasis. It was stated that a barrel lenght of 21 3/4 inches was crucial to accuracy! How many of you are using that lenght and if you are how did you arrive at it? The story seemed to imply that cartridges other than 6PPC also shoot...

    Wipeout

Has anyone with a borescope checked their barrels when using Wipeout foam. The manufacturer claims as long as patches come out with color on them the barrel is still dirty! I'm cleaning a 6mm BR that I thought was clean and the patches are brown indicating carbon. Should I continue until no...

    Tucker Conversion

Tucker Butch, I was looking for a friend, but I found contact info and passed it along. I wasn't sure if Cecil still did the work, so that's why I asked the question.

    BC Classifieds

Is there anything going on with Classifieds, I tried placing 2 ads a couple weeks ago. My account is telling me the ads are waiting for approval. I tried email, no response, I've called and either got a fast busy or a message saying the call couldn't be connected. Anyone else having problems...

    Cataracts

Thanks guys. I appreciate your responses and hope my surgery turns out as well as yours. Is the light sensitivity a side effect or the new lens being so much clearer?

    Cataracts

I'm going to have cataract surgery soon and I'd like to know how will this affect using a scope. The surgeon said the usual replacement lens correct for distance and most people will need glasses to read. I can opt for multifocal lens which would most likely eliminate needing glasses. What kind...

    UPS joins anti-gun crowd

Ups There are instructions on the UPS web site for shipping firearms. Handguns are different than long guns, but I don't think the UPS "stores" will knowingly ship any guns. The hub near me in Watertown CT, insists that any firearm has to go overnight, which is contrary to UPS policy. Lucky...

To shorten or not to shorten?

To shorten I'm no expert but, if the barrel is choked, you definitely do not want to cut it off at the muzzle! It sounds to me like your problem is either bedding (stock) or your set up, maybe not as stable as it could be. What happens if you fire the rifle with minimal contact?

    Precision Shooting

I just heard that the Precision Shooting Reloading Guide is listed on Amazon for $500 and up! What could possibly make them worth anywhere near that. The top asking price is $3000. The Benchrest Shooting Primer is starting around $45 which makes a lot more sense. Does anyone know what old...

    Scope Repair

Scopes My scope only had a reticle change by Premire. When I called Leupold I was told they honored their warranty on work done by Premire. The scope I sent to them was mid 80's, so around 25 years old. I received a letter from Leupold asking me to call them. That's when I found out they...

    Scope Repair

Leupold repair It's true that Leupold won't repair a Premire modified scope, but they will replace it under warranty. Last year I got a new 6.5-20 to replace a damaged one that Premire had installed a new reticle.

Sightron Try Optical Service at targetshooteroptics.com. A few years ago I had a Sightron 24X and the dot was too large. Sightron recommended Optical Service and it came out great.

    Leupold BR-36X vs Weaver T-36

Luepold-Weaver I've owned both 36X's. I thought the Leupold had some problems with POI and it went back to Leupold twice. The 2 Weavers I have seem better in that regard. I haven't used Weaver's warranty so I can't comment on that, Leupold's warranty is outstanding in my opinion. I wonder why...

    Leupold- Premier Reticle

Leupold I dropped the scope on a concrete floor. It seemed to be erratic, so I wanted it checked. I don't know if they tested it, but I don't think they did. The only thing I'm losing is the 3 dot reticle which was for hunting, but that ended sometime ago.

    Leupold- Premier Reticle

A while ago I placed a post concerning a Leupold 6.5X20 scope with a 3 dot reticle installed by Premier. I was trying to find out if Premier Reticles was still in existence. They aren't! I then contacted Leupold, explained the situation and was told to send the scope in to have it checked for...
