The answer is NO. It doesn't matter if you're shooting uphill or downhill your line of sight is the HYPOTENUSE of a triangle, because the hypotenuse is always longer than the base your bullet time of flight will be longer and your point of impact will be LOWER.

With the Holidays upon us, I would like to share a personal experience with my friends about drinking and driving.
As you may know, some of us have been known to have brushes with the authorities from time to time on the way home after a "social session" out with friends.
Well, two days ago I...
I spent the extra bucks for the Hawkeye with the angled eyepiece and the focusing feature and I'm glad that I did. I would recommend that you purchase that model.

The Burris Signature Zee Rings come with inserts that have NO offset, to achieve any advantage with regard to aligning the scope to the bore you would need to use the inserts included in the "insert kit". Instructions for the selection of the proper insets to correct your specific problem are...
Burris Signature Zee Rings
I agree with those who have suggested the Burris Signature Zee Rings, you'll have to purchase the insert kit that is sold separately, but this will solve your problem without drilling, tapping, lapping, etc..

If your rear bag is set too far forward on the bench the pistol grip part of the stock could be hitting the rear bag on recoil causing the rifle to catapult off of the front rest. Just me thinking out loud.

I agree with Joe, if you go with a bushing type die you'll have the option of playing with neck tension. I like the Redding Type S, FL sizing dies that use bushings to size the neck.

Gerry, how do you keep the lead from sticking to the brass ? I tried that method one time and the lead fused to the brass like it was soldered on.
Thanks,

Play sand
I would recommend that you go to Home Depot and buy some "Play Sand" that is used for kids sand boxes and playground equipment. This product is inexpensive, comes in 25 lb. bags, and it has been washed clean.

+1 on Dusty's advice, check out the M-14 Forums. The first thing that I would do is to put a cheek rest on the stock, you can't call a shot if your head is moving about independent of the rifle. I use one of the wrap around Blackhawk cheek rest that is held on with Velcro straps, that way I...
That's interesting, inexpensive, requires no machining, and is reversible if it doesn't yield the desired results. I think I'll try it.
Thanks for posting it,

Hi Bill,
I would load up a few pieces (6 or 9) of your annealed brass with your regular load, fire and re-size them three or four times to see if accuracy returns. You may have gotten the necks a bit too soft to hold consistent neck tension. Working the brass by firing and re-sizing should...
