    The Rolls Royce of engravers

A fella I know, Al Siegrist, has a Gorton. He bought his engraver cheap as well. After looking at some of the barrels he's engraved. The ones with the Winchester logo look the best.

    Line Boring

How long is that piece? If you lived a little closer I would take it to work and have Dick weld it.He's the only guy I know that can weld Cast Iron. If the part isn't that long, it could be bored on a Bridgeport. Me, I would set it up on a Small DeVlieg with a Rotary table and do it all there...

    Modern Tool Post

You should only... Have to modify the t-slot nut. The BXA will all fit a lathe with a 10-15" swing. Always get the Wedge style. Piston style is a bad buy. Band new or not.

    bridgeport mill

My understanding Bridgeport has their castings done in Taiwan. From what i know it's been since 1984. Hardinge owns the company. And your right Auctioneers get do get stupid. But you can find them for reasonable prices.

    bridgeport mill

I like Bridgeports The resale value is a big plus. Everyone wants a Bridgeport. If you don't know much about machining, a good used Mill is not a bad thing. Look at the one Rick bought. I think he said $800.00 his. I paid 2500.00 of mine plus a new readout $700.00. The machine isn't great. Ways...

    Gunsmith making own reamers

To me It's each to his own... Manson charges extra for something custom. An look at it this way, at least this gunsmith can make what he wants. You can't, Right! Make a Headspace Gage for a .30-30 Winchester rimless. I could buy one, but for me, it's more fun to make one. My Crystal Lake...
