    Die ?

Actually in my case, I was not unhappy about the die. I think sometimes the area preceeding the bushing is to large and this gave me an opportunity to bump a bit more area on the shoulder. My 30Br die actually started life as a 6BR small base, because I couldn't find a 30BR die that sized the...

    Die ?

Hombre0321, Yes, I had that same issue. The body was a very nice fit with my chamber, so I chose to open it with a carbide tipped chucking reamer. A little polish in that area and It worked quite well, with no further problem.

FYI Molly remover and brass polish

With the exception being that of removing moly, I would not want to polish bullets. Actually, I like the idea of leaving bullet lube on. I believe the original Remington Benchrest bullets came that way. I admit, I have never tested the idea, I just kinda like it, and had some great shooting with...

FYI Molly remover and brass polish

Maybe try tumbling moly bullets in a rotary tumbler with neverdull. When you open it up , you'll have to throw something away. Hopefully its the cotton wadding.

    whats your favorite crowning tool

Guys, I just don't follow the logic here. If we rely on reamers made of steel to form precision chambers, what is wrong with HSS for crowning barrels. Sharpened correctly they will produce crowns equal to any carbide.

The squirts from my die, a detsch with 3 small holes, work very well for guys that fly fish. They wrap them around the leader adjusting weight by the length.

    Alliant RL 17

In a 6.5 X 47, I did find more velocity than with 4350. I was unable to tune it however. At its best, one target would be .200 and the next .750---- Varget and RE-15 grouped quite consistantly. Even the 4350 was better on tgt.

    High Pressure Pix

At a glance, this case was either completely annealed or was fed the wrong powder. If it was a sizing problem, it should show some amount of separation.

    Rube Goldberg stand

Vern, be careful with the little blue pills, it may require an extended drop tube. Now don't forget the warnings, anything more than 4 hours at your loading bench and you will have to call the DR. Have no fear, all though you will talk to his answering machine, he just may call back in a...

    Straighten or index

It would seem to me that a long list of variables could apply to this issue. Things like a fairly new case which has not work hardened in the neck area straightens with much less force than a well worn case. How agressive the FL sizing would also play a part. A neck sized only cases would...

    Bolt Shroud Fit

Boyd, Bolt shrouds are not difficult to make, actually very easy. You can fit them as close as desired. What is important is that the bore for the firing pin is true with the bolt, not the shroud. The reason is that most bolts have the 1/3-13 thread out of allignment to some degree. Simply...

    Straighten or index

I don't advocate straightening rounds, though I have straightened lots of them. Necks seem to bend easily and this loosens the grip the neck holds on the bullet. Some powders are more affected than others and when you introduce another variable its not known what the affect is. Lumping...
