    Target scoring

Well he’s right in many respects, anything close needs to be plugged and plugged correctly and consistently. This is where IR50/50 does a decent job with a stepped plug, magnifier, and usually over a light box. That said, even today, some guys insist on looking from the side, etc., etc.Even with...

Freezing temps and primers & powder

Bad idea IMO. Got more to do with humidity control outside, not great for powders.

    Bolt Disassembly Tool Question

Will not work, you need Stillers. Camming is different.

    Jeff Patterson's J-PAT SPEC Rifles

You’re right, over the years I ‘ve seen way,way too many guys blame crap, usually ammo. Over the years, I think I’ve had some pretty good success at this and in my case I try to be super self critical. Any time something like that happens I usually ask “ what did I miss, where did I screw up?”...

    Jeff Patterson's J-PAT SPEC Rifles

Well now, 99%? I tend to doubt it’s anywhere near that. There are more than a few examples of great shooters with great guns and low and behold, barrel goes off, gets damaged, performance goes down substantially. I suspect it’s closer to 50-50 but just guessing. That said, what part of the...

Adding weight to a firing pin

Some BAT pins have a double boss up front as well for more mass. Lots of this seemed to start with the SV ‘s, some felt the short pin was too light. When I got a DS I liked the roller cocker and ordered one for the short action, only way was with new pin/ shroud so I have two complete firing...

Need a few opinions on BR equipment

Always nice to get perspective from somebody that shoots no sanctioned BR, though the ever popular 50 BMG is probably coming on strong. To the OP, Flat bottom, usually 1/2” is very common, get a proper rear bag with ears spaced to fit that stock. Opinions may vary but with proper ear spacing...

    Tuners!!!!

No actually , that’s a guy that has had guys that built world record guns and tried it until they proved to themselves it's a waste of time, tuner twisting and ammo……you learn zero. Like Lee stated, groups @ 20 about the same with or without a tuner. Nobody reliably tunes at 20-25.

    Tuners!!!!

From everything I have personally seen, from What I have been told by guys way above my rimfire pay grade, you are wasting your time shooting @20m.

    Tuners!!!!

FWIW, here in the U.S. virtually nobody shoots any form of RFBR past 50M.

    IR 50/50 target

    Changed years ago.

    Electronic targets:

As for group shooting, if I am not mistaken Harley Baker had worked on 1-2 electronic systems a few years ago but it proved very cost prohibitive in particular for larger venues.

    IR 50/50 target

Anybody have any thoughts on the new reduced size target ?
