Is there a test that a layperson can conduct to determine whether an action is chrome moly or stainless steel? My mentor told me yesterday that the magnet test is not always accurate in determining whether a action is SS or not. He said some types of SS will attract a magnet just like a CM...

More advice if your going to compete in group competitions..... I don't know if this has said in prior threads but make sure your first rifle is a 10 1/2lb light varmint rig..... I started out in 2005 with a 13 1/2lb heavy varmint rig and it shot very well and have had modest success with it...

Neuvo drop port with 6ppc/30BR bolt face question I noticed on the BC website that on the Neuvo listings there are 6ppc/BR bolt faces available. Will these Neuvo dropports with 6ppc/30br BF cycle a 30BR case? Maybe someone will clarify. Just askin.....:confused:

Worlds Record held by a 10 1/2lb LV 30cal..... The 5 shot 100 yard world record is currently held by Michael Stinnett shooting a 30PPC (Grendle I think) and scored an eye popping .007!!! 30's can shoot very very small ask Jackie S!!! If you can take the punishment....:cool::cool::cool:

Ced drift... My new CED DAA pocket scale drifted quite a bit (specially the hundredth digit) at the range while loading in the wind till I provided it with a good wind break. It works fine now and really like it. My old CED pockets also drifted in the wind to a lesser degree. When I'm loading...
