Is there anyplace to actually get a place with rules/Ive seen people use 40x and 52,s in factory class now,It wasnt that way a year or so ago but i cant find rules anyplace,Thanks

In the post above (#4) is the place to go to for IR50/50 rules. To further the conversation, IR Factory and ARA Factory are miles apart. You can really use true factory rifles in IR without having to navigate a bunch of rules. Rifles that were built from the factory to do some kind of competition, 40X, Annies, 52's, etc. You also shoot the same card as every other class in IR. No 'feel good' card in IR Factory like ARA. And BTW, lots of 250's have been shot in IR Factory.

piper, the best place to find out about a sanctioning bodies rules are on the website of the sanctioning body. Not on a forum. Between Larry (Rimfireshooter) and myself, you got lucky with good information because we are both experienced in the RFBR games. That's not always the case though when posting a rule question on a forum.

The rules arent easy to find now days,Im just woindering why a guy can shoot a 5000 anschutz in factory class ir5050 but ya cant shoot a winchester 52 or a remington 40x

Because they don't meet the rules.

So here's the deal sport, you're not talking apples to apples. The two rifles you mentioned above are included in the IR Factory class. They are NOT included in ARA Factory class. The only rifle I know of that is not included in the IR Factory is the Vudoo. It is considered a semi-custom. You didn't walk into a gun shop and pick up a new Vudoo off the shelf, you ordered it. All the rifles IR allowed were/are factory rifles and they shoot the same card as everyone else. ARA is a totally different story. Don't B**** here about being able to shoot a rifle in one sanctioning boding because they allow it and the other sanctioning body doesn't. Send your gripes to the...........Sanctioning body. No one here can help you with that other than you.

THERE ARE TWO DIFFERENT SANCTIONING BODIES FOR TWO DIFFERENT FACTORY CLASSES. THEY HAVE DIFFERENT RULES!!
Got that now? Hope so and also hope you will take the direct path to proper rules explanations by CONTACTING THE SANCTIONING BODY YOU WANT TO SHOOT, NOT forums.

I don't speak for Scott, but I know I get frustrated to see you complaining about the rules of the sanctioned matches. You asked for the rules, then you complain about why this and why that. Just go shoot and enjoy the time we have on this earth...

Best regards...

Here's the deal. If you don't like the rules for IR Factory Class, then don't shoot it. Go shoot ARA Factory and you won't have to worry about shooting against a $5,000 Annie or 12.5lb 52, they aren't allowed in ARA Factory. You are absolutely the ONLY person I have heard gripe about IR Factory Class.

Also, I don't need to be schooled on what IR 3-Gun is. Look my name up on the IR website. You probably didn't notice my sign off in post #6 either. I am a match director for IR and the only matches I run are 3-Gun matches.

Lastly, quit whining here about something that no one here can do anything about. None of us own the sanctioning bodies, we can't help you. And, if you don't like the way I post, don't read my posts, or put me on your ignore list.

Rather than mouthing off on something you know nothing about why didn't you simply ask how that rule came about and how it's applied before attacking it and one of top shooters in IR50/50? You remind me of the saying: never argue with stupid people, all they do is bring you down to their level and beat you with experience. Scott isn't going down to your level, man has class.

You need to read my post.I didnt attack anyone buddy,And as for the attack he puffed his chest out said look at who he is nadda nadda nadda,I was a top shot in country as well years past,Won many state championships so dont tell me i dont know anything,Rules have changed i get it,People change,Ive seen xtra sighters put along targets at several ranges this year, Ive seen guys who can only afford a cheap cz complaining why do they have to shoot against all these other gunsThats NEVER ALLOWED Or is it in todays shooting world,No worries you guys play the game how you see fit,Maybe you can make a app and just play it on your damn phones in the ac.This forum use to be a place to ask questions and such,Hell you dont even have many post now days,ITS ALL A BIG JOKE go shoot have some fun look into that phone app,Maybe youll get lucky.

The above is an excellent post! So is John's post #15 about not stooping to an idiot.
Oh BTW: extra sighters have been allowed since the creation of both ARA and IR. No rules against that in either sanctioning body. We went through this several years ago at the Triple Crown when some clown griped about extra sighters on other competitors target backers. Clown got shot down real quick by the sanctioning bodies.

I wonder if it was Piper at that match crying? Oh well, doesn't matter now, and neither does Piper!
I'm out of here.

Scott
