300 norma mag as a long range br cartridge ??

it seems some guys in the north west tried this, maybe in our 2000 yd matches. anyone have experience or educated experience..thinking about another rifle..dangerous to the wallet......yes posted in gunsmith too
 
Last I read the 300Norma imp is flirting with 5 into five inches at 2000 with the same difficulty as breaking the 1.082 at 1000.

the last time we shot 2000...the heavy guns were doing 5 at 11-12 inches in the center of the target, with highpoint count. i shot light with a 338 edge and was at 15". alex is in fla, the guy that started the group died a couple years back. we do still have a 2k range in mt. i knew there had been work with 300 norma and improved, but had not heard much until the mil choice to run 300 norma mag as a sniper round. mil specs are much looser than competition shooting.
