A 220 Beggs looks exactly like a 220 Russian to the naked eye. The only small difference is a little tighter radius at the neck/shoulder junction on the Beggs. Gene felt like it helped limit brass growth and need for trimming. I can't say either way because I've never owned a 220 Russian but...

It's clearly best edge, or the pics of the plugged targets are useless and it would seem intentionally so, unless best edge was the intention. Again, best edge "appears" to be the intention.
